About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Financial Data Scientist to work for our company. This role provides expert support to run analysis and analytical experiments using both structured and unstructured data. The Financial Data Scientist will evaluate alternate models via theoretical approaches, identify and exploit data assets, creating new patterns and business value. They will create analyses and models to improve customer and operational Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and enhance measurable value for the Agency and its customers. This position involves building predictive models and developing advanced algorithms that extract and classify information from large datasets. The Financial Data Scientist will analyze data, develop robust statistical and predictive algorithms/models that drive product outputs, identify meaningful patterns and trends, exposing new business opportunities, and translate results into understandable and actionable output that answers real business questions. The role will work with modules such as Acquire to Retire (A2R), Cost Accounting (CA), User Management (UMX), Time & Labor (T&L), Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Budget to Report (B2R), and Custom Application Development (CAD) Support Services. Additionally, the Financial Data Scientist will develop data conversion templates, pre/post conversion checklist/steps, data conversion design documents, data conversion status reports, and data conversion migration plans. This role provides expertise in COOP development and implementation, including disaster recovery planning, testing, support, recovery restoration, and system reconstitution. The Financial Data Scientist will analyze financial and ERP data sets and collaborate with hosting provider’s teams, including Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and Continuity/Disaster Recovery Teams. They will execute COOP exercises such as tabletop, simulation/remote recovery, and full failover exercises, and maintain and enhance the DAI Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP). The role also involves analyzing and upgrading COOP design to align with software upgrades and technical changes, and evaluating new technologies like Oracle Golden Gate for COOP environment re-architecture. Must be willing and able to travel to the client site in Washington, DC approximately 25% annually.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have an IAM III Certification: CISM, CISSP, GSLC
  • Must currently have or be willing to obtain one of the following certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator, Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer I, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Essentials (OEM 12c), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) 12c R1: Fundamentals, Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), and Oracle Identity Governance 12c: Essentials.
  • Must have a master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of relevant and practical experience with SAS, data processing, and data analytics.
  • Must have deep experience with data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Experience supporting DoD Federal Oracle shared service providers on an Oracle EBS R12.2 platform or higher.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the client site in Washington, DC approximately 25% annually.
