This role involves conducting thorough analysis, risk assessment, and investigation of referred/assigned cases related to financial crime. The investigator will research and apply new methodologies for analyzing digital evidence to reduce risk exposure to TD Bank. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation for reviews and interviews for financial crime cases, ensuring proper documentation for evidence, and using sound methodologies to collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence. The role also requires working with internal partners and external parties for effective detection and investigation, and preparing/delivering seminars on AML, Sanctions/ABAC, and Financial Crime or fraud detection/loss prevention to internal areas of the Bank. A good understanding and awareness of emerging AML and Sanctions/ABAC trends, cyber technologies, and new criminal techniques is essential. The investigator will apply strong knowledge of bank procedures, products, and systems to assist in analyzing situations, gathering information, and preparing cases, providing AML and Sanctions/ABAC support and recommendations.
