About The Position
Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will combine two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network starting in late fall 2025. This brand new 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents. Hanover Hill is seeking an experienced Financial Counselor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree is preferred.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in admission process and insurance verification procedures, and a working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans is preferred.
Responsibilities
- The Financial Counselor is responsible to verify primary and secondary insurance coverage for the patients of Hanover Hill Behavioral Health.
- The Financial Counselor notifies all relevant parties and explains insurance benefits.
- The Financial Counselor reviews insurance certification letters and ensures authorization numbers are entered on patient accounts prior to billing.
