Great opportunity to join a company that values our employees and the patients we serve! Centers for Dialysis Care is seeking two experienced Financial Counselors to work to work at multiple locations (Cleveland - East & Beachwood - Garfield, Warrensville & Oakwood). These positions are onsite.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid application and eligibility requirements
- Experience with commercial insurance coverage
- Experience with End Stage Renal Disease insurance eligibility strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient insurance records.
- Documents patient interactions in the clinical record and billing system.
- Communicates accurate and complete insurance information required for claim submission to the Manager, Revenue Cycle.
- Communicates regularly the status of problem resolution to the Manager, Revenue Cycle and other clinical staff as appropriate.
- Evaluates insurance coverage and identifies gaps.
- Meets with patients, reviews coverage and options and assists patients in applying for available insurance coverage.
- Coordinates management of insurance issues with the Insurance Coordination Specialist.
- Obtains and maintains insurance coverage for patients.
- Assists patients with dialysis transportation arrangements.
- Arranges out of town dialysis for patients desiring to travel.
- Coordinates arrangements for incoming transient patients.
