About The Position

This role is responsible for the collection of delinquent loan debts in alignment with credit union policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in supporting Members’ financial health while safeguarding the credit union’s loan portfolio.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Additional experience as a substitution for a degree may be considered.
  • One to three years of similar or related experience, preferably in a credit union, financial institution, or call center.
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong Member service and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legal documents, including garnishments, judgments, and bankruptcy filings.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed, and requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors delinquent accounts and conducts consistent outreach to Members with past-due accounts.
  • Provides credit counseling and proposes tailored solutions to enhance Members’ financial stability.
  • Accurately posts payments on delinquent loans in accordance with established guidelines.
