About The Position
Verifies insurance eligibility, pre-cert requirements and co-pay amounts for all inpatients and surgical patients accessing our services. Initiates referrals for patients with no insurance or financial need. Serves as departmental insurance resource/educator for all staff. Registers patients accessing the Acute Care sites.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of billing/credit experience (Healthcare setting preferred)
- Customer service experience
- All new employees are required to undergo and pass all applicable state and federally mandated pre-employment screening requirements.
