About The Position

This position is responsible for all account follow-up including communication with all parties who may have a bearing on account resolution. The financial counselor will visit with patients or family members and assist them in answering any questions or concerns they may have regarding billing and payment issues.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• One year of collection, customer service in a collection or healthcare environment
• Basic PC experience, 10-key calculator, keyboarding, and use of other office machines such as copier, fax, etc.
• Knowledge of third-party payers - Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance.
• Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (oral and written), independent and self-motivated, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills.
