About The Position

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the Finance and Accounting department and providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company's future. Companies include both Suprajit-Wescon Controls Division and its USA parent, Suprajit USA, Inc.

Requirements

  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.
  • Strong Computer skills - Proficient with Excel spreadsheet package
  • Strong managerial abilities
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification
  • Five (5) or more years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
  • Five (5) or more years supervising & developing a team of direct reports
  • Previous experience using an ERP system (i.e., SAP)
  • Previous experience in an accounting role in a manufacturing facility
  • Must be able to obtain, or currently possess, a US Passport

Nice To Haves

  • Ten (10) years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
  • Previous experience with SAP

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of the Accounting & Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.
  • Oversee the activities of the Accounting & Finance Department for the complete integration of all accounting issues and services including accurate and timely financial statements production, billing and account statement production and disclosure development.
  • Oversee the activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of petty cash, employee expense reports and cash control.
  • Directly supervise a team of five.
  • Manages quarterly and year-end audits (including financial, benefit and retirement audits).
  • Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls, which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, intercompany confirmations, and financial report for USA parent entity.
  • Consolidation of USA financial reports and intercompany activity on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Treasury management of funds for USA parent company and associated subsidiaries.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Provide input and act as liaison between parent entity in India and audit/tax professionals of the USA on technical issues.
