About The Position

DocNetwork is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead our core accounting operations and help build the financial foundation for our next stage of growth. This role will own day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, payroll, and internal controls, while also partnering with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and key financial insights. Requirements

  • A proven track record of progressive growth within a corporate finance or accounting function, with increasing responsibility toward strategic oversight
  • Demonstrated successful experience owning or leading month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Previous experience running and managing payroll
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis in a growing organization
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly with leaders at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
  • Experience working in a SaaS business and familiarity with SaaS metrics and KPIs such as NRR, GRR, LTV, and ARR

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, cash management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Prepare timely monthly and quarterly financial reports and ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and report on key financial and SaaS business metrics to improve visibility into company performance
  • Oversee and process payroll, 401(k), and related reconciliations, and partner with People Operations on benefits-related financial administration
  • Manage corporate credit cards, expense policies, expense mapping, and discrepancy resolution
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax obligations and coordinate with external tax advisors on filings, planning, and strategy
  • Support audit readiness and coordinate with external accounting and tax partners as needed
  • Recommend and implement policy, process, and system improvements that strengthen financial operations and scalability
  • Develop benchmarks and reporting frameworks to measure and improve company performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with department leaders to support budget ownership, financial trade-off decisions, and resource planning
