About The Position

Collin Street Bakery is seeking a financial controller with a servant leadership mindset. This individual will learn the company's operations and serve operational departments with accurate and timely information to aid in decision-making. The controller will report to and work closely with ownership and the executive leadership team, managing and administering all aspects of the business. This role involves leading a team of 3 full-time and 1 part-time teammates, and collaborating with an outside tax accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be a cultural leader by example, adhering to core values, and responsible for the day-to-day finance, accounting, and administration of the business. The goal is to establish a financial team and strategy that supports the operational and organizational strategies of the company.

Requirements

At least 5 years of increasing accounting and supervisory experience (Required)
NetSuite experience (strongly preferred)
Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred but not required
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
English (Required)

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and provide accurate and timely reporting to operational decision-makers.
Analyze the business and partner in continuous improvement efforts, bringing suggestions, brainstorming, and feedback.
Lead all financial aspects of the business, including management of the accounting and administrative teams.
Maintain all financial and administrative compliance for the company.
Act as a champion for the ERP system 'NetSuite' by Oracle.
Help develop and monitor monthly operating budget(s) and necessary budget revisions.
Ensure the maintenance of accounting records and preparation of financial statements and reports.
Authorize and manage all expenditures/disbursements.
Maintain all bank accounts and monitor business cash flow.
Maintain financial controls and segregation of duties.
Oversee property and casualty insurance.
Partner with I.T. to oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of all financial software.
Oversee timely submission of all federal and state payroll taxes, benefit premiums, retirement contributions, and worker’s compensation premiums.
Management of retirement plans and other employee benefits.
