Head of Finance, Financial Controller

Devoted Studios
Remote

About The Position

Devoted Studios is a globally remote game development company specializing in Co-development, Porting, and End-to-End Art Production for the global gaming industry. We collaborate across time zones to support projects on all major platforms, engines and styles - from AAA titles to emerging technologies. Our team includes world-class talents who bring deep expertise in external development, pipeline optimization, and creative problem-solving. Whether it’s porting games to new systems, enhancing gameplay features, or crafting stunning visuals, Devoted Studios operates as a trusted, flexible extension of our partners’ internal teams. We are proud to be the development partner of choice for industry leaders such as: Epic, Xbox, Meta, Obsidian Entertainment, Riot, Gearbox Software. We are hiring a Financial Controller, Head of Accounting to own the company’s core controllership function. This is a narrow, high-accountability controllership role. We want a strong finance operator with deep competence in controllership, financial close, financial and management accounting, reporting, and finance systems. For matters outside the Controller’s core body of knowledge - such as country-specific tax, local statutory accounting, specialist compliance matters, ERP implementation support, or niche technical issues - the expectation is not that the Controller performs all of that work personally. The expectation is that the Controller remains accountable for the result by selecting, coordinating, and project-managing external specialists effectively, while leading the work to the results. The right candidate is both a strong subject-matter professional in core finance and an effective manager of complex workstreams involving internal stakeholders and outsourced advisors.
