About The Position

The Valuation Services Manager will play a highly visible role on RSM’s Valuation Services consulting team, taking primary responsibility for complex business valuation engagements across financial reporting, tax reporting, transactions, strategic planning, and other advisory purposes. This position is designed for an experienced valuation professional who can lead multiple engagements, exercise sound technical and commercial judgment, develop team members, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the growth of a nationally recognized valuation practice. The Manager will work closely with senior professionals and practice leaders on engagement execution, client relationship management, talent development, process improvement, and go-to-market initiatives. The role includes identifying and advancing opportunities, supporting proposal and scoping efforts, expanding relationships across client organizations and RSM, and building a strong internal and external network. Managers are expected to balance engagement delivery with sustained contributions to team talent, technical development, and practice growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related area of study
  • 6-8+ years of progressive business valuation experience, preferably within a national, global, or highly regarded advisory firm environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and emerging productivity tools such as Copilot
  • Demonstrated capability leveraging automation, data analytics, and generative AI tools to enhance quality, efficiency, and insight generation
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client service, team collaboration, and practice development priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Professional designation such as ASA, ABV, CPA, CFA, or a related credential, or substantial progress toward completion is preferred
  • Well-rounded experience leading valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, transaction advisory, and audit support purposes, including business combinations, impairment analyses, stock-based compensation, portfolio valuations, and complex investment positions
