Financial Consulting Associate - Finance as a Service
About The Position
RSM is seeking a NetSuite Implementation Associate to join its Finance as a Service (FaaS) accounting outsourcing practice. The role combines accounting expertise and technical proficiency with NetSuite to help deliver high-quality solutions to clients. The associate participates in client onboarding and implementation, analyzes client requirements and business processes, and designs solutions using the FaaS technology stack. The role also provides post-implementation support and advisory services to help maintain client satisfaction and optimize NetSuite solutions. The associate works with project management, technology support, client accounting services, and other RSM stakeholders. The position includes contributing to improvements in the customer onboarding experience and supporting ad-hoc project initiatives, including quality control and technology or process optimization for existing clients. RSM describes most roles as hybrid, with team members aligned to an office and meeting in person when appropriate for client work, teams, development, or relationship-building; some roles may be virtual or primarily on-site depending on role requirements and needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with sensitivity to timeframes, budgets, and outcomes across multiple clients and projects.
- Ability to prioritize and remain organized and focused in a dynamic, multitasking environment with competing demands.
- Strong technology skills and ability to quickly learn and use new software applications.
- Dedication to lifelong learning, including staying abreast of technology-enabled financial management best practices.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Nice To Haves
- NetSuite experience in either an SP or BPO practice.
- NetSuite SuiteFoundation certification.
- Experience implementing Oracle NetSuite.
- Expertise in process analysis and business process redesign.
- Experience with BILL, Ramp, or BlackLine.
- Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm, or other professional services environment.
- Experience in an outsourced accounting role.
- Certified Public Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Participate in implementation and onboarding of new clients within the RSM Finance as a Service accounting outsourcing practice.
- Participate in client design sessions to analyze requirements and redesign business processes in areas such as chart of account redesign, procure to pay, order to cash, and record to report.
- Perform solution design for implementation of the FaaS technology stack, including NetSuite, BILL, Ramp, and BlackLine.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, technology support, client accounting services, and other RSM stakeholders, to achieve business goals throughout implementation projects.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer onboarding experience and collaborate on implementing improvements.
- Provide ongoing post-implementation support and advisory services to ensure client satisfaction and continuous optimization of NetSuite solutions.
- Assist with ad-hoc project initiatives, including quality control review and technology or process optimization for the current client base.
