About The Position

Schwab’s branch team helps clients own their financial futures. The Financial Consultant combines planning expertise with holistic financial guidance—including investing, retirement readiness, and education goals—to serve as a trusted partner who guides clients through financial decisions with clarity and empathy. The role starts with a book of existing Schwab clients, providing a foundation for building relationships and growing a practice. The position includes comprehensive training through Wealth Management University: a four-week virtual experience led by live facilitators, followed by a weeklong bootcamp. Afterward, development continues through hands-on branch training and mentorship from the branch manager, experienced peers, and dedicated mentors. Schwab’s four-level Financial Consultant career track provides opportunities for advancement, recognition, and leadership. Compensation includes a base salary and a performance-driven incentive plan with unlimited earning potential. Compensation can increase as the consultant builds relationships and grows a book of business.

Requirements

Valid and active FINRA Series 7 license.
Obtain or acquire the FINRA Series 66 license, or Series 63 and 65 licenses, and Life & Health Insurance licenses during employment.

Responsibilities

Engage existing and prospective clients through warm outreach, consistent sales activity, and community engagement to grow relationships and support long-term financial needs.
Build client trust through focused communication, strong follow-through, and collaboration with Schwab specialists.
Help clients progress toward their financial goals.
Apply planning and investment knowledge across retirement, education, banking and lending, insurance, estate planning, and changing market conditions.
