Schwab’s branch team helps clients own their financial futures. The Financial Consultant combines financial planning expertise with holistic guidance on investing, retirement readiness, and education goals, serving as a trusted partner who guides clients through financial decisions with clarity and empathy. The role begins with a book of existing Schwab clients and focuses on building lasting relationships and growing a practice. The position includes comprehensive training through Wealth Management University: a four-week virtual experience led by live facilitators, followed by a weeklong bootcamp. Afterward, development continues through hands-on branch training, mentorship, and guidance from the branch manager and experienced peers. Schwab’s four-level Financial Consultant career track supports advancement, recognition, leadership, and continued development. Compensation includes a base salary and a performance-driven incentive plan, with earning potential increasing as the consultant builds relationships and grows a book of business. The role requires an active FINRA Series 7 license and requires obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) and Life & Health Insurance licenses during employment. CFP® certification is a plus; professional development support includes tuition reimbursement and an internal CFP Cohort Program.
