Schwab’s branch team helps clients take ownership of their financial futures. The Financial Consultant combines planning expertise with holistic financial guidance in investing, retirement readiness, and education goals, serving as a trusted partner who guides clients through financial decisions with clarity and empathy. The role begins with a book of existing Schwab clients, providing a foundation for building lasting relationships and growing a practice. Financial Consultants proactively engage existing and prospective clients, develop business, strengthen client relationships, and help clients discuss market conditions, sound investing principles, and wealth and long-term investment strategies suited to their situations. The position includes comprehensive training through Wealth Management University: a four-week virtual experience led by live facilitators, followed by a weeklong bootcamp. Development continues through hands-on branch training and mentorship from the branch manager, experienced peers, and dedicated mentors. Schwab’s four-level Financial Consultant career track offers opportunities for advancement, recognition, leadership, and expanded responsibilities. Compensation includes a base salary and a performance-driven incentive plan with earning potential that can grow as the consultant builds relationships and a book of business. The role manages wealth across retirement and education planning, investment management, banking and lending, insurance and risk management, and estate planning.
