About The Position

Nusenda Credit Union is seeking a full-time Financial Consultant for its La Orilla Branch. The Financial Consultant serves as a trusted financial resource to existing and prospective members, using a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and meet their financial needs. The role requires knowledge and adaptability across teller and platform operations, and includes referring members to specialized services when appropriate.

Requirements

Three to five years of similar or related experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of teller and platform operations.
Ability to provide exceptional service.
Accuracy with numbers, procedural details, processing, and balancing negotiable instruments.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, handle sensitive information, and resolve problems.
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with internal and external customers in person, by email, and through other channels.

Responsibilities

Assist members with their financial needs through a consultative, needs-based approach.
Identify and explain value-added products and services suited to individual member needs, including opening and closing accounts or memberships, consumer loans (excluding home loan products), and answering questions about products and services.
Refer members to specialized departments as needed, including business services, mortgage services, home equity lending, and investment services.
Support the teller line as needed.
Resolve problems within the role’s authority level.
Process transactions accurately and in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
