Financial Consultant
About The Position
The Financial Consultant partners with Commercial Finance and Analytics teams to accelerate projects and improve business performance transparency. The role converts manual, fragmented reporting into scalable dashboards and repeatable processes, connects financial and operational drivers, and helps leaders focus on acting on insights rather than preparing data. The consultant builds or improves financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and management information solutions in collaboration with Analytics, Data, BI, IT, and systems teams. The role requires independent work across multiple workstreams in a matrixed environment, creating momentum and structure in ambiguous cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial modeling, variance analysis, and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large or complex datasets.
- Project management, organization, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or comparable financial and analytics platforms.
- Experience in a global, matrixed, Commercial, MedTech, healthcare, or manufacturing organization.
- Experience defining data requirements, metric governance, dashboard adoption, or reporting controls.
- Experience simplifying and standardizing FP&A processes through automation.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
- Self-starter with confidence to ask questions and find solutions in complex structures.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive to clarity without an established playbook.
