Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years applicable experience, preferably in the insurance industry [at a brokerage or provider organization].
  • Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Solid grasp of insurance principles to meet strategic needs.
  • Strong client management to prioritize and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Sharp analytical abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ability to efficiently identify problem(s), leverage resources to determine root cause(s) and propose and implement solutions or make improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Runs and analyzes client monthly financial reporting (MFSR) and presents MFSRs to clients.
  • Provides intermediate-level financial reporting and presents results to clients.
  • Works independently and/or under senior team member's guidance to assist with client budget modeling as needed.
  • Recommends basic strategic and tactical initiatives based upon clinical and financial data.
  • Analyzes IBNR results with senior team member oversight.
  • Attends client meetings with occasional day and overnight travel required.
  • Articulates how emerging market conditions impact client health and welfare plans from a cost and clinical perspective.
  • Articulates employee benefit related compliance regulations, particularly as it pertains to client financial and budget needs.
  • Articulates plan designs, funding arrangements, benefit/demographic adjustments, stop-loss insurance, out of network savings arrangements.
  • Project management of intermediate financial/reporting/H&W benefits projects.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as requested.
