Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • 5-7 years applicable experience, preferably in the insurance industry [at a brokerage or provider organization]
  • Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire
  • Key skills for effective client consulting include a solid grasp of insurance principles to meet strategic needs, strong client management to prioritize and deliver impactful solutions, and sharp analytical abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Provides Financial/Clinical consulting to clients with respect to their employee benefit health and welfare plans
  • Responsible for presenting financial/clinical data to clients
  • Runs and Analyzes client monthly financial reporting (MFSR) and presents MFSRs to clients
  • Provides complex reporting, presenting results to clients
  • Participates in development of financial reporting enhancements
  • Assists in development of new CLUE reporting
  • Takes prominent role in the development and enhancements of new and existing client budget, financial and clinical analysis and tools
  • Builds and maintains Financial/Clinical models to support client account teams; mentors and trains junior staff, as necessary
  • Recommends complex strategic and tactical initiatives based upon clinical and financial data
