Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field. Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
  • Three years of experience related to financial planning, coaching, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong active listening skills, including the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and address objections to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to meet established performance standards on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to maintain proficient knowledge of TFCU products and services.
  • Strong financial assessment and guidance skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize assignments and projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Credit union experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized, one‑on‑one financial coaching to members and non‑members, supporting individuals with budgeting, money management, credit education, savings strategies, and informed financial decision‑making.
  • Assessing financial situations, identifying goals and challenges, and developing actionable plans that promote improved financial behavior, stability, and overall wellness.
  • Coordinate coaching sessions, manage scheduling and communications, maintain accurate and confidential documentation, track outcomes, and refer individuals to internal departments or community resources as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining financial wellness content, including articles, videos, and curriculum, and collaborate across teams to support individualized coaching and broader Financial Wellness initiatives through scalable content and consistent messaging.
