Requirements

Experience working with insurance, patient access, billing, or a related healthcare function
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with confidence
Comfort working with multiple teams and balancing priorities
A desire to help patients and make a positive impact during their care journey
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park)

Responsibilities

Partner with insurance companies to verify coverage and secure financial clearance for patient care
Serve as the main point of contact between admissions, clinic staff, billing teams, and providers
Help ensure patients are financially cleared in a timely manner so care can begin without delays
Maintain accurate records related to insurance verification and financial clearance
Work collaboratively across teams to resolve issues and streamline processes
Support patients and colleagues with clear, helpful communication
