About The Position

This role is for a Financial Center Consultant II at the Watauga Financial Center. The position focuses on providing exceptional service to members, helping them discover the right financial products and solutions to meet their goals. Responsibilities include welcoming members, guiding them through new accounts, and loan production, with the aim of building lifelong relationships. The role involves rotating within the branch to support members with products and services, advising, suggestive selling, and setting up new products. It includes conducting consultative selling sessions, performing financial profiles to identify relationship expansion opportunities, and utilizing cross-selling and opportunity reports. The primary focus will be on platform functions, opening new accounts, and loan production. The ideal candidate will be proud to represent EECU and find satisfaction in creating lifelong members through sincere relationships.

Requirements

  • One-year minimum experience in a retail or financial environment requiring excellence in service and rapport building.
  • Proven goal achievement in loan production.
  • Strong communication skills for comfortable and free conversation in all member interactions.
  • Enthusiasm and professionalism with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
  • Good listener, approachable, able to problem-solve and be empathetic.
  • Relevant computer skills.
  • Solid math and written communication skills.
  • Good credit history.
  • Availability during the hours of 8:30 am - 6:15 pm Monday - Friday and 8:45 am - 1:15 pm Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross selling and referral skills are strongly preferred.
  • Retail Operations knowledge, i.e., platform and teller operations preferred.
  • College Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for members, providing exceptional service.
  • Guide members through opening new accounts and loan production.
  • Conduct consultative selling sessions and perform financial profiles on members.
  • Identify relationship expansion opportunities using provided reports.
  • Perform platform functions, open new accounts, and handle loan production.
  • Build exceptional rapport with members and provide excellent service.
  • Cover the branch lobby, acting as a concierge, greeting members, answering calls, and directing them to appropriate employees.
  • Initiate and support marketing initiatives within the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations.
