About The Position

Provide accounting and auditing services to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to improve controls and deliver timely financial insights.

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting or auditing, including preparation and review of financial statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements, such as IFRS or ASPE.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, effective communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) completed or in progress is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements, working papers and audit documentation in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Plan and conduct external and internal audit procedures to assess financial accuracy, risk exposure and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciliations and variance analyses to support reporting timelines.
• Prepare tax filings, schedules and related documentation and assist with tax planning and compliance activities.
• Identify process improvements and provide recommendations to strengthen financial controls and cost management.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
