About The Position

The Financial Associate will work with the Senior Financial Analyst to provide support to the finance team. This role focuses on assisting with the development of financial models and analyzing data sets to provide insights that support the company's growth and profitability objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant experience or studies showcasing financial literacy and the willingness to learn new processes and systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in a multi-location team environment and build relationships across the business.
  • A keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy is essential, along with working cross-functional with other groups in the organization.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a multi-location team environment
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English with employees, executives, and board of directors
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to comply with Summit’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreements.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining financial models to evaluate business performance and track strategic initiatives.
  • Support senior analysts in analyzing financial data and industry trends to help identify risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluate large data sets for quality and identify areas where data attributes can be improved.
  • Support the preparation of Board-level reporting and financial ad hoc reports.
  • Help support specific financial analysis requests from executive leadership and subsidiary teams.
  • Ensure meticulous organization and storage of all summer analysis projects for future retrieval.
