About The Position

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, budget, internal controls, data analytics and operational effectiveness. Our Guidehouse team will provide: Perform detailed financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and budgeting across current and future fiscal years. Monitor, reconcile, and track execution of Working Capital Funds and Appropriated Funds, ensuring alignment with approved budgets. Extract, analyze, and visualize large data sets using N‑ERP, PowerBI, Tableau, SharePoint, and EDC to produce clear funding status reports and briefings. Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, executive summaries, COAs, and funding justifications for senior government review. Review, validate, and approve travel authorizations (DTS), funding documents, P‑Card purchases, MILSTRIP, SAP actions, and OFDs. Execute and resolve labor and non‑labor transfers (LOCUS and other tools), undistributed labor issues, and DCPS rejections. Conduct expenditure, commitment, and obligation analysis to develop operating budgets and carryover estimates. Maintain compliance with financial regulations, guidelines, and internal controls; support audits and documentation requests. Manage financial data integrity across business systems, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring timely corrective actions. Produce and present quarterly financial reviews and develop financial dashboards, tools, and metrics. Support contract administration tasks including accruals, obligation package preparation, and funding documentation close‑out. Assist personnel in understanding and using financial tools, metrics, and reports. Create custom queries and extract enterprise data for pre‑validation, reconciliation, and reporting. This role requires the ability to report daily to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, CA.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • TWO (2) or more years' experience supporting federal financial management, budget execution, internal controls and financial audit, resource management, program analysis & management, data analytics, and/or comptroller functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Prior Navy / NSWC PHD / NAVSEA / DoD financial management experience.
  • Experience supporting Working Capital Funds and Indirect/Overhead cost centers.
  • Familiarity with DCPS, LOCUS, ADVANA, Enterprise Data Extracts, and other DoD systems.
  • Experience developing financial automation tools or integrating financial data into streamlined dashboards.
  • Background in audit readiness, internal controls, or A‑123 compliance.
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional government teams and multi‑organization financial reviews.
