About The Position

The Financial Analyst will provide financial reporting and analysis to enhance decision making for the Protective Products Business Unit. This individual will be a key player in supporting the FP&A Director of Pregis’ Protective Products business for management and performance reporting, analysis of critical business drivers, and ensuring data quality. The ideal candidate for this position is an assertive self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and can prioritize, problem solve, and pivot quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance.
  • 2-3 years progressive financial experience
  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency
  • Experience in process improvements with quantifiable results to measure effectiveness.
  • Data analysis and tool experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Analytical: have a strong business acumen with a high degree of proficiency in data mining and financial model development
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Curious: challenge the numbers, dig into the story behind the numbers and ask WHY

Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial team with key customer reporting, sales rep reporting, and pricing & margin analysis
  • Model/present financial data in a manner that communicates valuable information to management.
  • Provide financial analysis support to senior leadership on key business components and market environment.
  • Leverage systems by identifying and driving reporting and process improvements and/or automation.
  • Lead and assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification, and implementation of reporting systems as necessary.
  • Assist in creation of forecasts and annual operating plan.
  • Process journal entries and perform reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Benefits

  • The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $64,000 to $77,000, depending on experience and skills.
