As a Financial Analyst – Level 4 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. As a Financial Analyst, you will perform analyses and prepares financial reports to ensure program contracts remain within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, comply with government cost control requirements, and adhere to applicable accounting guidelines. You will develop and deliver program financial reports for internal and external customers, with a focus on program cost incurrence, material tracking, and labor spending. Our Financial Analyst will proactively identify program cost and schedule risks and support the development and implementation of mitigation actions. This position will support our Proliferated Systems operating unit. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of business management, finance, operations or accounting experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of business management, finance, operations or accounting experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of business management, finance, operations or accounting experience
  • No clearance required to start
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Experience briefing complex financial performance, analyses and concepts to executive leadership
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Experience with project management software (COBRA), SAP Management Project Systems Module and IBM Business Analytics (Cognos)
  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare program financial forecasting and reporting, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP)
  • Monitor, forecast and manage program financing mechanisms such as Accounts Receivable, Advanced Payments, and Accounts Payable
  • Support audits, reviews, fact-finding and development of program cost estimates, customer proposals, and negotiations
  • Perform quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC), analyzing Estimates to Complete (ETC), variances, risk management reserve (MR) and preparing internal and external status reports
  • Develop funds run out (FRO) analyses to align program funding needs with government funding availability
  • Collaborate with business, functional, and technical staff to address customer requests and briefs financial forecasts and results to Business Unit and leadership
