VTG is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide business financial management support to our DoD customer in Washington, DC (Navy Yard). The Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis as a member of the Program Management Office (PMO) team. This position is onsite. What will you do? Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Conducts research and analysis of program requirements, procedures, performance, schedule, and risk. Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data related to ship/weapon/project acquisition and product programs. Confidently reports on program status, Risk, and Risk mitigation strategies to assigned customers and leadership. Tracks program/project status and schedules. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Develops and reviews briefing materials, technical manuals and publications, and process documentation. Participates in technical studies, design meetings and activities, program reviews and conferences. Assist in tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures to ensure performing activities are meeting periodic targets. Support the financial execution and formulation of financial plans for assigned programs. Attend program reviews, financial reviews, and applicable meetings where budget/financial support is required. Assist in correlating financial requirements into executable budgets. Draft spreadsheets, reports, and other documents and provide supporting analysis to present financial status of programs.
