We are excited to introduce a new Financial Analyst role within our Finance team. This net-new position reflects our continued investment in strengthening financial insight, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role in bridging finance, operations, and technology - transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic priorities. Working closely with stakeholders across departments, you will help identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance reporting capabilities, and support the development of scalable financial solutions. This role is designed for a proactive, analytical thinker who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions, and driving meaningful change. As Xpera continues to grow, the Financial Analyst will be instrumental in shaping how we leverage data to improve performance and deliver value across the business.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Experience managing projects from vision setting through implementation.
  • Experience developing and delivering high quality written and verbal communications.
  • A team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability in change management to drive a high performing culture.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, JIRA, and BPM tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial systems/software and basic financial principles.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including proficiency with financial modeling tools.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and financial data to identify trends, performance drivers, and actionable insights that support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide visibility into business performance.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements, define business needs, and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Own the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the sales CRM, including process design, testing, rollout, and continuous improvement.
  • Support sales growth through pipeline analysis, performance tracking, and insights to improve conversion, productivity, and revenue.
  • Develop financial models and analyses, including gross margin, pricing, standard costing, and buy-versus-lease evaluations.
  • Lead system and process improvements by identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and coordinating implementation with technical teams.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure systems and solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Support annual strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data consolidation in partnership with Accounting and functional leaders.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results against budget, forecast, and prior year; identify root causes and recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Prepare and coordinate timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial and management reporting, including executive and Board presentations.
  • Ensure reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled, support variance analysis, and continuously improve FP&A reporting processes and practices.
