About The Position

AMBA is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance Team! We are looking for someone with detail oriented skills who thrives in an agile, team-oriented environment. This role will be responsible providing critical finance/FP&A support (inclusive of financial and KPI modeling, financial oversight with relevant driver explanation) and guidance to internal customers such as the Client Management and Marketing teams on strategic business decisions that drive customer sales, retention, and cost savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Statistics.
  • 2-4 years of relevant financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication.
  • Familiarity with accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work in the Austin, TX office or Urbandale, IA office 4 days of the week, with Friday's being remote.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance Business Knowledge preferred.
  • Power BI, VBA or Power Query skills (a plus but not necessary)
  • GAAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reports including KPIs, rolling forecasts, and financial variance reports and explanations for review by senior management.
  • Review business trends and partner with various business leaders to understand KPIs and recommendations for operation optimization and cost savings.
  • Prepare both executive-level quality and detailed statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and validity of the information being reported.
  • Partner with accounting to align forecast/budget with actuals.
  • Maintain Excel models used for performance and variance analysis.
  • Support ongoing initiatives to automate, improve and streamline the analysis and reporting process.
  • Develop financial and business acumen to become a valued thought partner to business and department leaders.
  • Work on routine assigned finance responsibilities with minimal supervision and ad-hoc projects with proactiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
