About The Position

Experienced financial analyst role supporting portfolio companies in consumer and financial services, blending FP&A with data analytics and offering a clear path into investment and M&A work within a well-funded investment firm environment. This role blends FP&A with deep data analytics, requiring SQL and Power BI skills to clean and consolidate data across multiple platforms. You'll be the go-to analyst for key portfolio companies, supporting forecasting, budgeting, and integration efforts with growth into M&A opportunities. The position offers multiple growth paths, either doubling down on analytics or evolving into a traditional investment role within the team.

Requirements

• Strong SQL & Data Manipulation Skills: Hands-on ability to write SQL and integrate, cleanse data from multiple systems like Service Titan and Sage—critical for building reliable KPI dashboards and supporting portfolio analytics.
• FP&A Experience with Analytical Rigor: Solid FP&A background with a sharp eye for financial analysis in a portfolio context, supporting forecasting, budgeting, and gearing up for M&A integration as the portfolio expands.
• Adaptability & Growth Mindset Toward Investment Roles: Eager to evolve beyond traditional FP&A into investment team responsibilities, including M&A and portfolio company coverage, fitting a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Extract, cleanse, and consolidate data from multiple platforms including Service Titan and Iron Bison CRM to support accurate financial reporting and KPI dashboards.
• Support portfolio company forecasting, budgeting, and budget vs actual analysis to provide actionable insights for the investment team.
• Develop and maintain data models and visualizations using SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to enable real-time financial and operational insights.
• Serve as a key finance liaison for portfolio companies, partnering with operations and investment teams to streamline financial processes and back M&A integration efforts.
• Deepen expertise in portfolio company systems and processes, aiming to broaden scope into M&A analysis and wider investment support.
