About The Position

Ackermann Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their growing team at their corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and ad hoc projects for commercial and multi-family real estate assets and investors. This role monitors and reports on day-to-day accounting and financial transactions and processes related to residential and commercial property management, in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field
3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Yardi) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
Must be currently located in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area

Responsibilities

General Ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries and cash receipts, identifying and correcting errors in coding or booking
Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and budgets for multiple entities
Monthly account reconciliations for cash, receivables, payables, accruals and lender obligations
Provide accurate, timely and relevant recording, reporting and analysis of financial information
Escrow and Cash Flow management
Identify areas for improvement and aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
Communicate results with on site property management teams
Research variances and report accordingly
Coordinate data transfers between multiple software systems
Ability to keep processes on time with communication with supervisor is critical
Demonstrate intermediate to advance skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly detailed-oriented
Operate independently and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.
Performs other duties as assigned.
