About The Position

Aston Carter is seeking a Financial Analyst for a Contract to Hire position in Wichita, KS. This role involves analyzing financial results, preparing financial models, monitoring costs, and supporting financial close processes. The analyst will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and compliance with accounting standards. This position is based onsite in a manufacturing environment and operates primarily in an office setting within that facility, fostering collaboration and interaction with leadership and operational teams.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in financial analysis, marketing analytics, or a closely related role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling for forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
Familiarity with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial results, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, and provide actionable insights to leadership
Prepare and maintain detailed financial models to support planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
Monitor and analyze product, project, and operational costs to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Develop and maintain standard cost systems, including bill of materials (BOM), labor, and overhead rates
Conduct inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, and margin reporting
Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, and finance) to drive accurate cost tracking and accountability
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, with a focus on cost drivers and operational performance metrics
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies related to financial and cost reporting
