About The Position

As a Financial Analyst, you will provide accurate financial insights to support business decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, government regulations, and company policies. In this role, you will contribute to financial reporting, analysis, payroll tax processes, and close activities that support overall business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years of accounting, payroll tax, or financial analysis experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial systems such as SAP or Hyperion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, MBA, or advanced degree.
  • Experience with payroll tax compliance and financial reporting in a corporate environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including financial reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze P&L, balance sheet, and key accounts to identify trends and insights that support business decisions.
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with US GAAP, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage payroll tax processes, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations and accurate reporting.
  • Act as the liaison between Goodyear and the third-party tax processor, including maintaining access, completing POAs, and performing State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) reconciliations.
  • Manage communications with tax agencies across North America and Costa Rica.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other teams to support payroll tax processing, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and continuous improvements.
