About The Position

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of business performance, as well as thorough and robust financial forecasts. This is a highly visible position and serves as a key resource to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and other senior decision-makers in the commercial business. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical ability with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in FP&A with hands-on experience managing a corporate financial model, partnering with functional departments, and creating insightful business analytics tools.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and a professional designation (CPA, CFA, MBA)
3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
Advanced Excel and financial modelling proficiency
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working with SAP, EPM (OneStream, Hyperion or Anaplan) and AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct monthly variance analysis by comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts, and identify key drivers of performance
Participate in the preparation of quarterly rolling forecasts by collaborating with key business partners and reviewing current assumptions
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
Lead departmental monthly review meetings and provide support as needed
Prepare all accruals for revenue and gross to net calculations including sales discounts, chargebacks and returns provisions.
Oversee AR and cash flows as well as being the main contact for the third-party collections team
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, systems improvements and scalable processes
