About The Position

Watlow is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing corporate FP&A team. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate FP&A, you will play a foundational role in supporting Watlow’s enterprise financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes in a function that is actively evolving and expanding. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is eager to learn, build strong analytical skills, and make a real contribution from day one. If you are detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and motivated by the chance to grow within a collaborative finance team that values both accuracy and insight, we would love to connect with you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related roles
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and financial model management techniques
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail and a desire to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and advanced Excel features like Power Pivot and Power Query
  • Previous exposure to consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis
  • Experience with Oracle, Oracle EPM Planning, or similar ERP and financial planning systems

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range FP&A processes by gathering inputs, refreshing models, preparing schedules, and validating data.
  • Develop and maintain recurring close schedules, variance analysis files, reporting templates, dashboards, and financial review materials.
  • Analyze actual results versus forecast, budget, and prior year to identify trends, risks, and opportunities — and translate those findings into clear summaries and charts.
  • Assist in automating recurring reports to streamline data flows from ERP to reporting outputs and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of FP&A processes and templates.
  • Build functional familiarity with Watlow’s reporting tools and ERP systems including Power BI, Oracle EPM, and Smartview.
  • Uphold strong data standards by performing consistent self-checks, documenting assumptions, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all work products.
  • Build knowledge of Watlow’s business, financial systems, and planning processes over time — with direct mentorship from the FP&A Manager and meaningful exposure to enterprise finance from early on.
