About The Position

Under general supervision, this role uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to review financial items. The Financial Analyst will be able to perform varied moderately complex accounting activities and find solutions to moderately complex problems. This role will prepare reports in a format that can be quickly reviewed and identify potential improvements to increase efficiency in workflows processing or analyzing financial information. The Financial Analyst will analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification and integrity of information, and resolve or recommend solutions to moderately complex problems. This role involves performing mathematical calculations, communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, and being organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage and track multiple detailed assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. The role will also involve testing new systems abilities and creating procedures and process flowcharts.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of reconciliation accounting and analytical experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Knowledge of advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of accrual based accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of accounting software packages.
  • Knowledge of advanced cost allocation concepts and practices.
  • Skilled in allocating costs and evaluating the impact on financial statements.
  • Skilled in preparing surveys.
  • Skilled in analyzing financial information.
  • Skilled in performing mathematical calculations.
  • Skilled in operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
