About The Position

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is responsible for all areas of financial and management reporting, planning and analysis. The Project Analyst supports the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects by providing data-driven insights, tracking performance, and enhancing project controls. This role works closely with project managers, finance, and cross-functional teams to analyze project metrics, identify risks, and ensure projects stay aligned with schedules, budgets, and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
  • Five (5) years of experience with management reporting or financial analysis

Responsibilities

  • Develops, updates, and maintains complex models to budget, forecast, analyze, and report financial data
  • Develops and performs monthly detailed financial analysis including advanced financial modeling and monitoring business results and impact to bottom line
  • Focuses on resolution of complex problems where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes
  • Maintains full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural expert
  • Drives the provision of timely, accurate, and reliable financial management information and the running and enhancement of reporting systems which facilitate the production of this management information
  • Completes regular and ad-hoc reporting and business reviews as well as the preparation of key presentations and special projects as required
  • Prepares and presents financial analysis to influence management decisions
  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees but will not typically have formal management role
  • Support project planning activities, including schedules, resource plans, and milestones
  • Track project performance related to scope, timeline, cost, and quality
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends, risks, and variances
  • Prepare regular project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders
  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and cost variance analysis
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, and reporting tools
  • Support change management, issue tracking, and risk mitigation activities
  • Collaborate with project managers and functional teams to improve project outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement of project processes and reporting
