About The Position

Bowhead seeks an experienced Financial Analyst to join its team in Dahlgren, Virginia. The role supports financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis. Work is generally corporate-oriented and broad in scope. The analyst reviews financial data from various managers for inclusion in indirect and forward pricing rate package submissions to the government. The position also requires knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory provisions related to economic, accounting, and legal principles.

Requirements

• Five or more years of professional experience in a related role.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must currently hold a Secret-level security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.
• Must be able to lift 15 to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and periodically twist, bend, and squat.

Nice To Haves

• Dahlgren/Navy System experience, such as ERP, IBPES, or EDW.
• BA/BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area.
• Respond to rate and budget questions and explain information to support management understanding.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and DAR/FAR government regulations.
• Interface with government auditors and provide audit support to explain financial data, methodology, and applicability under relevant government regulations.
• Perform analytics and evaluative work requiring basic knowledge of financial and management organization, operations, and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
