About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our Alabama Division, which is based in Huntsville, AL. This position reports to the Area Controller. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, intuitive problem-solving skills and the drive to meet ever evolving organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience.
  • Effective communication skills: written and inter-personal.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office suites (especially Excel).
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage a dynamic workload.

Nice To Haves

  • Business analytics/data mining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain/update/publish weekly & monthly financial reports and interactive dashboards.
  • Perform, summarize, and distribute quantitative analysis of weekly reports.
  • Assist in month-end accounting procedures and inventory management.
  • Assist in creation of annual business plan/forecast.
  • Design and build analysis tools and new reporting as needed using MS Excel and data mining tools.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed by stakeholders throughout the market area.
