About The Position
The Financial Analyst supports senior management by handling both internal and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is highly independent, efficient, and skilled at transforming raw data into clear, actionable reports. This role requires the ability to analyze business processes, interpret underlying data, and provide well-informed recommendations to enhance overall business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration (required)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (required)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience in a data analyst role with a financial accounting background (asset)
- Experience with ERP software (asset)
- Experience with Power BI and/or dashboard creation (asset)
Responsibilities
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
- Work with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment, shape analytical direction and provide recommendations to the business
- Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
- Use data to create models that depict trends in the customer base
- Work with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for them to make more informed management decisions
- Reporting to financial and government agencies
