This Financial Analyst position will perform qualification and loan application procedures required for the School Bond Qualification and Loan Program. Review and verify debt service schedules, student enrollment counts, construction costs and other operational reports and records to determine adherence to program rules and statutes. Review and evaluate loan applications, system financial data and program procedures for accuracy and effectiveness. Prepare and maintain work documents, participant correspondence and policies and procedures. Assist with School Bond Loan Fund and School Loan Revolving Fund activities. Assist the Accounting Services Division and the Office of the Auditor General with month-end accounting and year-end closing activities. Support the Department of Treasury's overall goals, strategic planning, Continuous Improvement and Employee Engagement activities. Qualifying years of experience are counted post–bachelor’s degree. Candidates will be reviewed to determine the appropriate level for placement. PLEASE NOTE: New Hires for the Financial Analyst classification will receive a one-time signing bonus of $2,500 . The bonus will be paid out as $1,250 gross pay adjustment on the employee's first pay warrant and the remaining $1,250 will be paid upon completion of one year (2,080 hours) of satisfactory service. If the employee leaves within one year of the appointment, they will be required to pay back the entire bonus.
