About The Position

McDougall Energy is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a positive attitude to join their team. This position will be part of the Transactional Team, with the Financial Analyst responsible for all financial aspects of McDougall Energy’s Cardlock business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in finance
  • A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize a significant workload
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, including the ability to handle sensitive communications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with an ERP system or a business intelligence tool such as Tableau is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end financial processing for a product line. Including but not limited to: daily/monthly activities in inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Create and maintain account reconciliations including Payables, Receivables, and Inventory where required
  • Operational maintenance of fuel purchase cards for customers
  • Management of customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Work with business leaders to enhance line of business and consolidate the product offering where asked
  • Primary contact with cardlock fuel system service providers
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve process inefficiencies, driving continuous process and control improvements
  • Create and maintain SOPs required for new ERP system/other processes
