About The Position

McDougall Energy is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a positive attitude to join their team. This position will be part of the Transactional Team, with the Financial Analyst responsible for all financial aspects of McDougall Energy’s Cardlock business.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in finance
A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize a significant workload
Ability to handle large volumes of data with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal, including the ability to handle sensitive communications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Experience working with an ERP system or a business intelligence tool such as Tableau is an asset

Responsibilities

Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Take ownership of end-to-end financial processing for a product line. Including but not limited to: daily/monthly activities in inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Create and maintain account reconciliations including Payables, Receivables, and Inventory where required
Operational maintenance of fuel purchase cards for customers
Management of customer inquiries in a timely manner
Work with business leaders to enhance line of business and consolidate the product offering where asked
Primary contact with cardlock fuel system service providers
Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve process inefficiencies, driving continuous process and control improvements
Create and maintain SOPs required for new ERP system/other processes
