About The Position

Leslie's is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their corporate office in Phoenix, AZ. This role operates on a hybrid work schedule and is not remote. The Financial Analyst will serve as a business partner, responsible for communicating results and recommendations to drive cost reduction, revenue generation, and operational improvements. Key activities include preparing and analyzing financial reports, assisting with monthly financial reporting packages, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting. The position requires a high level of detail, accuracy, understanding of complex financial processes, and a self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual. The analyst will support senior leadership across retail, commercial, and service divisions, collaborating with various levels of leadership to develop financial and strategic plans, analyze results, and provide insights into company performance. The role reports directly to the Director of FP&A - Digital & Logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and OneNote

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute internal financial statements, including income statements across multiple cost centers and business lines
  • Partner with FP&A leadership and key stakeholders to develop weekly, monthly, annual, and long-range financial forecasts
  • Support the monthly P&L review process by analyzing variances to plan, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing insight into current and projected trends
  • Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses to identify trends, key drivers, and performance opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, risks, and profitability drivers
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to enhance forecasting, reporting, and decision-support tools
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Provide ad hoc analyses and support special projects, metrics development, and executive reporting as needed
