About The Position

The Financial Analyst provides critical support for ongoing financial operations by compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data. This position is responsible for running standard monthly reports, ensuring accuracy of financial information, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day fiscal operations. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and assisting with various reporting and analysis tasks to inform management decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one years of experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, or fiscal operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial software, or data reporting tools (e.g., Workday, FAMIS, STAR/Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing financial data
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and budgeting processes
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and present financial information clearly
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain positive working relationships
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to follow established procedures

Responsibilities

  • Pull, compile, and analyze financial data from various systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports, including budget vs. actual, expense detail, and other standard reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of departmental budgets, including allocations, coding verification, and cost tracking.
  • Ensure proper accounting of transactions, including verification of ledger entries, account reconciliations, and coding of expenditures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial reporting needs, answer inquiries, and provide data as requested.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives assigned by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
