About The Position

MG Properties is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Asset Management team. This role is crucial for maximizing the performance and value of their multifamily residential portfolio through financial analysis, forecasting, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration. The Financial Analyst will provide insights to support investment decisions, portfolio strategy, and operational improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional interested in real estate, financial data, and process improvement. The position is primarily onsite with the potential for a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, AI tools, financial modeling, and real estate software such as Yardi, MRI, or a comparable platform.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to present financial information and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Multifamily real estate experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist or Excel Expert certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of multifamily assets, including occupancy, rental income, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
  • Support the property budgeting process, including reviewing and updating budget templates, preparing individual property and corporate expense budgets, reviewing submitted budgets, and developing budget summaries.
  • Assist with business plans, due diligence, financial analysis, stabilization budgets, and cash flow forecasts for existing assets and potential acquisitions.
  • Lead the Asset Management department’s implementation and use of AI to improve departmental processes and functions.
  • Participate in strategy discussions related to leasing, renovations, refinancing, and property dispositions.
  • Support senior leadership with portfolio strategy, valuations, and investor presentations.
