About The Position

Our client is a financial services provider delivering payment and financial solutions to businesses across various industries. The company helps clients process transactions efficiently and compliantly, including in the crypto space.
As a Financial Analyst, you will build and develop management reporting, analyze financial and operational data, and bring structure to financial operations. You will work closely with founders and cross-functional teams, contributing both financial and business insights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or similar roles
• Relevant education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong understanding of management reporting (P&L, cash flow, unit economics)
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (financial modeling, data analysis)
• Experience working with external accountants or auditors
• Interest in business analytics and working with operational data
• Structured and analytical mindset
• High level of ownership and accountability
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills, including with non-finance stakeholders
• Curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying insights and inefficiencies
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with financial services, payments, or crypto is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain management reporting (P&L, cash flow, financial dashboards)
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support decision-making through financial modeling and ad-hoc analysis
• Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of transactions
• Collaborate with external accountants (including Canadian tax advisor): data preparation, timelines, follow-ups
• Evaluate and help implement suitable accounting and analytics tools
• Improve internal financial processes, reporting structures, and documentation
• Partner with business teams to provide insights on performance, unit economics, and growth drivers
