Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry
  • Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful
  • Ability to work independently while managing expectations and varying deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including reconciliation of key metrics and performance, delivering insights that inform leadership on progress against strategic plans and investments.
  • Perform comprehensive variance analysis, identify key trends and drivers, and assess forward-looking implications to proactively inform business decisions.
  • Develop impactful visualizations (charts, dashboards, and presentations) that clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Design, build, and optimize automated and scalable reporting processes (in Excel and related systems), improving data accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support forecasting and budgeting cycles, owning components of the process and providing data-driven assumptions and recommendations.
  • Deliver regular, structured financial reporting to the organization, including clear interpretation of results, risks, and opportunities relative to expectations.
  • Support and actively contribute to M&A initiatives by performing financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and development of supporting materials and exhibits.
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with cost center owners and cross-functional partners to understand business drivers and influence financial outcomes.
  • Ensure integrity and confidentiality of financial data and business information, while upholding internal controls and organizational policies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced reporting, and deeper analysis to support evolving business needs.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects, providing financial expertise and analytical support to drive business outcomes.
