Financial Analyst
About The Position
The Financial Analyst is responsible for producing analytical reports for senior management, writing new reports as needed using casino management system software, and evaluating financial results. This role involves performing operational analysis of all business aspects to identify potential opportunities, seeking ways to automate repetitive analytical tasks with IT solutions, and developing statistical models for forecasting future casino volumes. The analyst will also perform IRR and NPV analysis for capital projects, conduct market research and analysis, assist in developing the property master plan, and provide data and analytical support for the strategic plan and quarterly operating reviews. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with property department heads to track progress of strategic initiatives, assisting in budget development, managing the personnel requisition process, performing ad hoc analysis, and potentially working on special projects in other departments. The position also requires promoting positive public relations and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS with concentration in Finance/Accounting, MSIS or Computer Science required.
- Three (3) years of applicable business experience required.
- One (1) year in an analytical role required.
- Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Access, Showcase, Query & Cognos required.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

- PBA, CPA or CFA a plus.
Responsibilities
- Production of all analytical reports to be used by senior management.
- Writing new reports as needed, utilizing casino management system software.
- Evaluating financial results & reporting areas of concern to management.
- Performing operational analysis of all business aspects and identifying potential opportunities.
- Continuously looking for new ways to automate repetitive analytical tasks with IT solutions.
- Developing statistical models to accurately forecast future casino volumes.
- Performing all IRR and NPV analysis for proposed capital projects.
- Performing all market research and analysis as needed.
- Assisting in the development of property master plan.
- Providing data and analytical support for the development of the strategic plan.
- Providing analytical support for quarterly operating reviews.
- Coordinating with property department heads to monitor & track progress of various property initiatives laid out in strategic plan and provides quarterly updates to senior management.
- Assisting in the development of property operating and capital budgets.
- Managing the day to day personnel requisition process.
- Performing other ad hoc analysis as assigned by management.
- May be assigned to other departments for special projects on a periodic basis.
- Promoting positive public relations.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
